Context: My family and I like to travel in our camper, and in a confined space like that, dirty laundry needs to be controlled! I also was hoping for a system that would be easy to handle upon return home. Most laundry bag products only have 1 - 2 bags, they're not super big (family size!), and they don't breathe. Especially for the price, I thought these would finally be what I wanted. I wanted a few bags so I could sort in transit and hopefully just throw the whole bag in the washer. This actually works great for that. The mesh is pretty sturdy, and if you're not throwing in loose clothing with the loaded bag (which I don't recommend), the dangling draw string shouldn't be an issue. It's easy to tuck in though, which I do recommend just in case. You can see in the pics up against a standard water bottle that the big bag size is pretty big. Since there are 4 bags in the set, I don't have to put every stitch of clothing in it, so it holds plenty. However, if you were not sorting in advance and were just putting every dirty item in one bag, it would hold quite a few days' worth (obviously depending on what you're wearing). The largest holds more than my entire hamper, the smallest is perfect for delicates or socks. They're round on the bottom, so they have more capacity than you think. This also works for things you want to protect. The smallest bag is great for those undergarments you don't want flopping around the washer and/or dryer. I use it at home to hold my hand wash items to throw in my front loader on the hand wash cycle. Then I pop them out of the washer still in the bag and tote them to where I'm either laying them out or hanging them up. Super convenient and well protected while washing. There are no zippers, which is nice. It's just the drawstring. There doesn't seem to be anything to scratch up the inside of the laundry machines. You get a little clacking from the plastic tension thing that holds the drawstrings tight, but that's it. The product listing says this, but I can confirm that it is very good advice, do not pack the bag fully if you're going to throw the entire bag and contents into the washer/dryer. It won't wash the clothes well. You need to leave some room in there for movement. The listing says 70% full, and I agree that's about optimal. If you're not going to throw the whole thing in the washer/dryer, fill it up all you want. It will handle it. All in all, a very serviceable product at a very reasonable price for the quality you get. Super useful, works as intended, variety of applications from washing to storage. Very breathable if you put damp things in them (if you pack it with wet clothes, the middle of the wad of clothes likely won't dry). I would have no problem recommending this product to friends and family.
