While I’m not sure that you can’t accomplish the same “Stay Open” results from a normal ZipLoc freezer bag, I nonetheless appreciate the marketing to educate people on this super useful trick for filling bags without assistance. Again, I have tried this on bags without the grid pattern base and the same result seems possible. That being said, these do seem easier to accomplish that goal and I’m not sure that the cost is any different.

More importantly for most people is likely the value. For online pricing, this bundle seems like a fairly good price. We seem to go through more gallon sizes than any-other so finding a large bulk quantity like this is great in my opinion. If you’re on the hunt for the same setup in quart, I’ll save you the search, they’re here https://amzn.to/41kriWx . While our family doesn’t get too brand-pretentious over every little thing, I will admit that I don’t recall a single time a ZipLoc brand bag has broken, burst or cracked open from use or freezing and therefore I am a bit loyal to the Ziploc brand from those great results.

We have a foodsaver machine so we vacuum seal a lot of our frozen stuff, but these bags are really nice for the times we're bagging small amounts of something and know it probably won't be in there for long. Love how you can stand them up and they more or less stay open on their own (I did roll the top over itself). Makes it much easier when you're freezing stuff like soup or anything that needs to be poured in.

This is 2 boxes of name brand gallon size freezer Ziplock bags. These stood up fairly well for me which allowed me to fill them and open and close easily with the standard push zipper, not a slide mechanism. This pack is a very good value for the quality you’d expect and thickness. These seemed to hold up well in the deep freezer so I would order these again. Overall, I’m very pleased and recommend them.

These bags are multifunctional and leak proof for marinades, liquids, frozen goods. These are great for saving space in the fridge as well. I store chopped garlic in the freezer and it holds a ton! I use Ziploc bags to store my art supplies as well. I can think of so many different ways to use them. I love how durable these are! These storage bags has never failed me and I continuously go back to them time and time again and will always recommend them to my friends and family.

I’ve been using these Ziploc Gallon Food Storage Freezer Bags for several years now and I’ve found them to be reliable and multifunctional. The newer stand up bottom design allows me to use these for marinating meats and freezing homemade sauces and soups (poured after they’ve cooled.) The thickness of the bag gives me the best protection from freezer burn than any other bag I’ve used. And also, because it’s a bit thicker, I can use these for no-mess meat tenderizing. I just place the meat in the bag and then use my tenderizer or rolling pin on the meat inside (leaving a small opening in the ziploc for air to escape) and then remove the meat when done. The bag keeps any juices from flying around and my countertop free of germs.

The seal is easy to use and grip too. I’ve never had a bag fail to seal and stay sealed.

Ziploc is the defacto standard for a reason, you know you're always going to get quality, while the store brands you're rolling the dice. This is a great quality bag with a helpful wide bottom for holding wet foods. The non flat bottoms are still my go-to for dry foods, but this is nice to have on hand, especially during the holidays when there is extra food cooking and extra food needing to be stored.
