First experienced Old Bay at a tavern down South where I ordered a steamer pot with clams and oysters, and mussels along with potatoes and corn on the cob. WOW! I was hooked on the sauce and couldn't stop dipping my bread into it. I asked the waitress what was the spice in there and she told me that it was Old Bay, commonly used there in the South.
It was not available in my supermarket, so I ordered it online. Now, I use it frequently at home, on any kind of fish or poultry. All you need is to sprinkle it on, add S & P, a little lemon, and you are done preparing. Tastes great whether you steam cook, bake, or grill. Now it's a staple in my spice cabinet.
