I do not TYPICALLY write reviews, but I swore with everything I have that if I found something that worked for me, I would definitely share the information. I know that millions on women are suffering with BV, the embarrassment of having it, constantly thinking about it, and even going through bouts of depression because NOTHING is fixing the problem. I've dealt with BV for over 3 years, and when I tell you I've tried flagyl (which was just awful on my body, just to have the BV return), to all kinds of home remedies, that gave some relief, but didn't resolve my Problem. Now, I'm fully aware that every women's body is different, and what works for one, may not work for all. For example, no matter how good a product is, I cannot insert a capsule, or anything in my vagina...I found that it made matters worse. I could only take oral capsules, and hoped for the best. This is what I believe...if you've had BV for years, the BAD BACTERIA has taken over, and made your vagina a nest egg for bad bacteria to grow. That BAD BACTERIA is very STUBBORN, and it does not easily respond to treatment. In order to fight the BAD BACTERIA, you need a HEFTY DOSE OF GOOD BACTERIA (it's like a war going on down there). I've tried various dosages of CFU's. NOTHING touched me until I found the correct dosage that my body would respond to, and that's the 50 billion flora (not the 4, 15, 20...my body responded to 50 Billion). I believe the aggressive dosage of 50 billion is needed, because BV is just as aggressive, THAT'S WHY IT KEEPS COMING BACK. HERE'S MY TESTIMONY: After suffering from BV for over 3 years, I decided to try the 50 billion Ultimate flora, and YES IT WORKED FOR ME. I no longer have odor, discharge, or burning. I have a perfectly PH balanced vagina. I currently take 1 capsule in the morning (orally), and one at night. My intentions are to cut back to only one capsule eventually. I promised MYSELF that I would write a testimonial and not keep this to myself. My heart sympathizes with other women going through BV (I know, it is like a curse). I promise, I'll share this information with my GYN Doc, because for some reason, they don't seem to know about this??? which is weird. Product arrived damaged - great refund policy
I like the marketing of this product and speed of arrival. I like the science behind the product. The capsules looked small in the marketing pictures. The cost seems high but my insurance doesn’t cover natural meds that help heal and strengthen my immune system. If the product worked to help my gut — it’s a good value for my money. I don’t like flavors so a small capsule seemed like a good choice. So why not give a higher rating? A great product doesn’t benefit us consumers if we can’t use the product, right? I did not like that the product seal had been clearly tampered with. I work as a nurse. That may not mean anything to you but there are laws that regulate my activities. More than that - I’m an old nurse. I remember when all kinds of safety seals appeared. I do not take meds or accept sealed items where the seals have been tampered with. The item arrived in a plastic shipping bag so I assumed the box containing the item was a bit worn out from the shipping. I removed the container, but to my surprise, I could not open the sealed paper and plastic safety lid. I have included a photo to explain more clearly. I thought that maybe the pull tab was stuck. Nope. I looked closely and could see that the pull-tab had been previously torn off. I would have enjoyed reviewing this product in a more positive writing style; however, I do not take meds or pills where the safety seals have been damaged. An entire comedy sketch could have been made of me trying to figure out why the top of the bottle looked odd and I couldn’t find the other half of the pull tab. I was so serious — but the experience was hilarious. Picture in your mind — Lucille Ball. I can definitely say that I have more confidence knowing that a tight seal is on the product inside which may keep the meds inside from decaying. Someone else may have just cut open the bottle. Next I contacted Amazon expecting a battle for a refund. Instead, the experience was very easy. I guess the chats are talking to a computer when purchased in the way I did using Amazon Prime. I chose how I wanted my refund. I would have preferred to purchase the product and use it then write the review. Thank you for taking the time to read this far. I hope you smiled. The world needs more joy. As for the product, I suspect that the product itself is a good product. I will repurchase in a way that I can check the seal. A doctor trained in functional medicine can guide you to which product is best for you. Should you buy this product? I know that some people use it to treat and prevent bladder and BV infections. I’m not permitted to give medical advice. The knowledge that I bought the item is a clue about what I think about nursing the gut. The gut is a vital component of our immune system. One doctor told me that the gut is our second brain. I think you should speak to your trusted healthcare professional. My takeaways from this experience was to buy in the retail store FIRST and don’t use overnight delivery because the staff is in a rush to send out the product and may overlook the safety seal. I’m very sorry that I couldn’t leave a more joyful review. Just keep smiling thinking of Lucille Ball trying to find the pull tab on a medicine bottle. I hope your experience is better.
