A littttle underwhelming for me
So I was super excited to receive this, coupled with my giddy apprehension over its $$$ price tag, but sooo hopeful, excited. Opening it up-total letdown. It was wrapped in a literal slice of plastic wrapping. No flashy or fun packaging. No literature about creators and/or company. Nothing to set this apart from any other company I can run and get an equally unique, more modestly priced, hand-stitched pillow like this. I’m sitting here with regret. Taking the plunge on this was supposed to be a fun little treat to myself. Something to ooh and ahh as I unwrapped it. Having a naughty, indulgent moment: a personal splurge to myself. There was nothing. I removed clear plastic. About a year ago I received two pillow cases, no pillows, just the 18x18 cases. Let me tell you, I told everyone and their mothers about those pillowcases. The packaging was a nice looking, sturdy deep green box. A canvas tote bag was included nestled underneath literature from the company, both thanking me for the purchase, as well as introducing the company to me and inviting me back, along with an email for any questions or concerns. I immediately purchased the other two options of pillowcase sets they offered along with writing a glowing review of how elated and satisfied I was. Those pillowcases were TWENTY $20 DOLLARS. I would head back to them in an instant for gifts because i know them and their products. I don’t know anything about Furbish from my order (and yes those had handmade elements i learned about in their literature too). That was a year ago and I still remember my experience of unboxing them. I went off on the tangent for myself perhaps to remind me that I might have gotten this Furbish pillow for the wrong reasons. Because I thought bigger is better in terms of price tag and I’m a little disappointed in myself. I do understand the handmade nature of this and still feel like I was taken advantage of. I included a slim can next to the pillow to show some scale to see this pillow is a little one. Adorable, handmade and nice, absolutely, but not giftable as is in its own packaging. It’s small and cute but now not something I would get two of based upon my experience and feelings. I didn’t have a plan when I began writing this, it’s just my honest feelings and review and, for me, a bit of perspective on the bigger picture. I was seduced by the idea of this company and what I thought they wanted me to feel. To get something exclusive and cool and be part of the company ideal. I have no idea who made this. I don’t know anything about the company and I’m upset I made this decision. If you’d like an adorable, pricey pillow and don’t care about the companies behind them then this is for you absolutely. Perhaps this is silly and I am placing way to much value on the soul and price tag I “ass-umed” went hand in hand… Cute pillow you will enjoy though, if nothing else behind it is necessary for you. Which is fine too!!

This is such a cute pillow, but it is very small. It is maybe 12 inches long by 5 inches high. I love that it’s a Taylor Swift lyric on the pillow and that it’s embroidered or needlepoint. I’m not sure what you call this. my real issue is the cost why does such a tiny little pillow cost so much money? I would never ever pay that for this kind of a pillow.
