STORYTIME WITH FRANKLIN is a special collection of 6 stories from the FRANKLIN THE TURTLE series. My children are all grown-up and I’m no longer teaching, but I was drawn to this book because of the fond memories I have when I think back to reading Franklin to my children and many of my classes of second graders. The TV Show that followed was also a favorite in our house. Some books that I read in the 80s and 90s can be described as dated when read today, but not these classic Franklin storybooks.The stories are timeless and very relatable to children today. An example of this can be found in the very first Franklin book, which is in this special collection, FRANKLIN IN THE DARK. This story deals with Franklin being afraid of the dark and as Franklin goes looking for help from others, he learns that everyone is afraid of something and how they helped themselves deal with the fear. Each of the 6 stories will be enjoyed for years to come by young children and the adults in their lives. I think you’ll enjoy these classics that will become family favorites!

Some books that I read in the 80s and 90s can be described as dated when read today, but not these classic Franklin storybooks.The stories are timeless and very relatable to children today.
