The large jaw faces are an easily recognizable characteristic of the BESSEY K Body parallel and case clamps. They allow strong, precise and gentle clamping and spreading of workpieces. Thanks to their extra-large contact surfaces, the original BESSEY K Body REVO parallel clamp and the lightweight UniKlamp case clamp distribute clamping force evenly even when being used at high clamping forces. Cabinetmakers, Carpenters, Joiners and Kitchen fitters all benefit from the use of parallel jaw clamps because they are ideal for clamping large areas without damaging the material. When In use parallel clamps provide very accurate clamping support and are ideal for many applications including furniture making, restoration, cabinet construction, and holding large panels and frames in place when gluing. BESSEY offers the unique K Body REVO parallel clamp in two versions – with fixed (KRE) or sliding upper section (KREV) – each with a range of openings up to 2.5 meters. Both of these versions offer up to a nominal 90 degrees of clamping capability and 1700 lbs of everyday clamping force. Another advantage of the K Body REVO clamps is that they have additional workpiece supports on the rail that prevent the workpiece from coming into contact with the rail and being damaged. This also allows the clamps to be placed on the workbench and then used as a glue press. This clamp is a Revo Jr. It's mechanism is similar to the Bessey Revo, but somewhat smaller. While my Revo clamps move easily up and down the bar when open, this Revo Jr. is rather difficult to move -- frustrating when the glue is setting. When the clamp is in position, it is quite good at clamping, though, of course, not with Revo pressure -- which is not always needed. Besides, it comes in an 18" version, which the Revo does not. (OK, I'm not willing to cut down a 24" to 18"!)

There is a technique to moving the head on the bar, but I haven't fully mastered it, apparently.

Bottom line, it is a decent clamp, and 18" is a good length of some of my work. I'll stick with it, but with some frustration.

I have dozens of Bessey clamps and have never had a bad clamp. Now I have four that are all jammed closed. The clamp can't be opened. They are jammed tight. Also, there were missing parts.

You should buy the clamp at a physical store (and not from here) where you can check the action of the clamp before you buy the clamps. So far Amazon has shipped 4 bad clamps out of 5. So Bessey has a 60% failure rate. Up to you if you want to spend your time going to ups to drop off the return(s).

Adquiri tres prensas "BESSEY KRJR-18 K Body REVO JR", una de las cuales tenía signos de haber sido anteriormente probada y devuelta por otro cliente. Estaba trabada y tuve que desarmarla con esfuerzo para poder abrir sus mandíbulas.

Todas las partes de las tres prensas estaban completas, por suerte.

Los plásticos se ven quebradizos y de muy mala calidad.

Hay que sujetar las prensas con ambas manos al utilizar porque la mandíbula de abajo está muy floja y se cae (de más está decir que el plástico que hace de tope no durará mucho cumpliendo esta función).

Había leído otras opiniones similares antes de comprarlas, pero creí que exageraban.

Las prensas son MADE IN CHINA y se nota en todos los detalles.

He comprado otras de la misma marca y la diferencia es abismal.

En fin, le dejo tres estrellas sólo por el precio. Si estás dudando entre estas y otras chinas genéricas, quédate con la otra. Aquí sólo pagas la marca.
