At first I was confused trying to figure out all the different velcro attachments and zippers. Now that I have figured it out, it makes total sense and is a great setup.
This bag separates into 3 pieces. When it first arrived the portion that holds the baby wipes was tucked inside however, the 2 pieces of velcro on the wipes bag didn’t line up with the 2 pieces of velcro on the changing mat. I thought they made a mistake. I now understand that the 2 velcro strips on the back of the changing mat are there to be able to extend the length of the changing mat as the baby grows. This is done with pulling the wipes bag open (single piece of velcro in the middle holding it closed) and attaching one of the two velcro strips to the bottom of the changing mat. Once this is done, the wipes are facing up in the correct position for easy grabbing. It is best to look at the pictures on the Amazon description of the product.
The 2 pieces of velcro on the back of the wipes bag are actually meant to attach to the outside of the folded up changing mat. This makes sense because once the bag has the wipes in it, it won’t fit inside the folded up changing mat. Wow, how confusing. I hope I explained this clearly.
The changing pad itself is nicely put together and includes a padded area for baby’s head. The plastic mat is easily wipeable just in case it gets soiled. At the top of the changing pad there is a zipper that allows one to remove the bag above it.
The bag above the changing pad has 5 compartments to it. Two small compartments will hold a rattle, pacifier or small toy. Just below that is a zipper to a fairly large pocket that is made of the same material as the changing pad so is waterproof. Just below that is a mesh area meant to hold a couple of diapers (depending on the diaper size). On the other side of the bag (the outside portion) there is another zipper compartment that fits my iPhone perfectly. It is large enough to hold a small wallet as well. On the outside section next to the zipper compartment there are 2 velcro straps meant to be used to attach the entire bag to the stroller handle or headrest in the car for convenience. If you want a regular handle, you can connect these 2 velcro straps to make a handle. There is also a strap with a buckle that can be used for a handle or to attach to something.
This product can be hand washed and laid flat to dry.
Wow, what versatility all in one. I really like this portable changing pad. I just needed to understand it first. I hope this review helps you understand it better too.
