Great jars
I have used these to water bath can applesauce, jams, and diced peaches. The jars and the flat lids hold up great. The lids seal every single time. The rings are awful though, they're inconsistent on whether they will screw back onto the jar or not. No worries though, because Ball brand regular sized works wonderfully. I love that there isn't any designs on the outside of these jars, making labels easy to attach. I probably won't pressure can in these jars, I'm not willing to risk losing product, but they would probably hold up fine. They're as thick as name brand mason jars. They're easy to clean, both by hand and dishwasher. If you need some more affordable canning jar options, I recommend these.

    I love the shape of these jars and the 8oz size is a good size for the jellies that I put up and sell. I do buy extra Ball-brand lids because I have to be 100% sure that these will seal perfectly. The reviews were a little too hit-or-miss for my comfort level to use the included lids. I did a test run at the beginning of canning season and there was a failure or two in my test batch as opposed to no failures when I use Ball lids, so that's the only reason I'm taking off a star. If the lids were as dependable as Ball lids, this would be an amazing value on a bulk buy of jars!

    I will never buy these jars again. I was making jam - had all of the jam in jars and ready to go into a boiling water bath; MOST of the lids did not fir the jars!!! The result was leakage of water into my beautiful jam, the necessity to use the jam within its normal lifespan when not sealed, and wasted money buying an inferior product. I (luckily) found 10 jars (of the 24 in the case) that had lids that fit. I will not be making this mistake again.

    These are a very nice substitute for the mason jars from the Ball company. They came well packaged in styrofoam holders that can be reused. The glass is thick and the shape and size are perfect for one moderate serving of jam, applesauce, or yogurt and such. The lids and seal are identical to Ball. If put side by side without a label, you would not know these are not ball jars. And, they are free of any labeling on the jar, there is no Komota on the jar, or and indication of company. I would definitely buy again.
