What can these marker pens be used for?

-They are Oil-Based markers, meaning they are Waterproof, Permanent, Quick Drying and Not Transparent

-These paint pens will write on glass, paper, cardboard, plastic, canvas, metal, brass, wood, stone, tires, etc. Almost all surfaces

-The markers show up clearly on light and dark surfaces, and adhere permanently once dry

How to use the paint pen

1)Shake the pen well.

2)Hold the pen with the tip at the top and press with your thumb. (this lets all the air out for even distribution of ink out the tip)

3)Now hold the pen with the tip at the bottom and press the pen down. (this lets the ink inside the pen to flow into the tip)

4)You are now ready to write on any surface!

-To clean off, use mineral alcohol or turpentine.

Description

This paint marker can be used on surfaces of various materials, such as rock, ceramics, wood, leather, plastic, canvas, stone, glass, metal, blackboard craft products, etc. If the writing effect on the surface of these materials is not good, please check whether the pen itself produces ink smoothly; If it is made of canvas material and the canvas itself is prone to water absorption, it is necessary to use a marker to apply multiple layers of ink reinforcement. If only applied once, the ink may be absorbed by the canvas, resulting in unclear ink marks; Attention: It is not recommended to use this product on wood that has been painted with oil, as the paint on the wood may react chemically with the ink in the pen.

In general, after writing with this product, the ink dries quickly, and the handwriting becomes permanent when completely dry; But some materials have a smooth surface, or under low temperature conditions, the drying speed of the ink will slow down. It is necessary to wait a little longer according to the characteristics of the material and temperature, so that the ink is not easy to wipe off when it is completely dry.

Actual color may vary slightly due to material porosity.

For full coverage, apply 2-3 thin layers instead of a single thick coat.

Received two pens today. Neither seemed to have ink in it. Very poor instructions.

These were an Amazon pick, with a 4.4 average review, so I ordered them for our plant markers. They arrived in original sealed packaging, and each was individually shrink-wrapped, so they had not been used. They have absolutely no directions except for tiny pictures that imply they should be shaken for no specified time, and then somehow magically you eliminate air before use. I tried tapping them both facing up and down, after more than a minute of shaking. When I opened the caps on each one, the tips were absolutely dry, with no evidence of any liquid paint, and there was not a drop of liquid in either one.

I've used oil-based ink pens before, and they worked just like a Sharpie. So, I originally gave this a 1-star, and was about to pack it up and return it as a piece of junk. But then I thought that I would look through the Amazon page to see if there were clearer instructions. Only after reading the added information down below the product description was there a suggestion that you have to press the tip into the pen, and you have to really press down on the pen like half a cm to release the ink. None of this was clarified in the cryptograms on the box.
Turns out to be a very good paint marker, but with pathetically bad instructions. Most people have never used these types of pens, and you shouldn't have to read the small print on the Amazon page to figure it out.

Now you don't have to learn the hard way like I did.

Full disclosure!

I'm using these for a very 'off label' purpose. The paint goes over dark colours well with good even coverage.
I recently visited a salon and wanted my hair colour changed, but they were unable to add heavy grey highlights to my otherwise black-blue meter long hair. So I did what any other person would do and bought 3 different silver pens. This oil based silver paint was the best of the batch. I was able to prime the tip, then literally paint in stripes of silver where I wanted a 'highlight'. Unconventional i know, but it worked!
The paint dried by the time I finished my make up and was ready to put my hair up. It coated the strands but did not leave the strands in a glue-y clump like hair wax did. I was able to brush it afterwards with no trouble. The paint has remained in place for 3 nights now(even when sleeping with a hair/head covering for 3 nights) this worked so well I definitely think I'll buy more colours! It lasts longer than colored wax, or spray in colours, but will still wash out. For the price, I'd definitely do this again. The salon wanted 600 if they dyed my hair. These came right to my door for under 5$ each.. amazing value.
I intend to use these to recolor some decorative gold chain details on a cute pair of shoes I bought, because I prefer silver to the current gold, I cannot imagine that won't work perfectly. I also used these to 'colour' one accent nail on each hand when I did my last manicure, the gel top coat adhered to it perfectly and I could not be happier!
