It doesn't get very hot.
This heating pad is large - about the same size as my king size bed pillows. And the weighted feature makes it nice for sitting with it on my shoulders or on my knee. The heating pad doesn't get very hot, which is somewhat disappointing. I like that the heating pad allows me to choose from several different auto-shutoff times. But it also seems to arbitrarily turn the temperature down by itself - I set it to 8 and will notice it went down to 4 at some point. The buttons are loud, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but when the heating pad randomly turns the temperature down at night, and I have to increase the temperature, I always wake up my girlfriend when clicking the buttons. Overall, this is a great, heavy, large heating pad with a long cord. I just wish it got hotter and stayed hot longer.

    I have had this heating pad for almost exactly one year and it stopped working today. I used it dialy so here is my detailed review.

    Pros:
    -I love the size and the weight. It's perfect for covering your back or torso.
    - machine washable
    - soft and comfortable

    Cons:
    -only lasted one year
    - the cord CONSTANTLY becomes disconnected if you move around while sleeping at all and you have to keep plugging it back into the heating pad.
    - doesn't get as hot as my old heating pad
    - has a timer but automatically switches the heat lower after a couple hours which is really annoying. I have to keep turning the heat back up every 2 hours.

    Overall I will not be repurchasing this heating pad and I will be searching for another option.
