- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2024Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseThis is the first picture book I’ve ever read that clearly shows the distinction between Halloween and Día de los Muertos as holidays, including that they are on a different days. Raul the Third’s artwork and storyline is fun and exciting - this isn’t a boring explanation, but a joyful celebration of a community coming together. As with his other ¡Vamos! books, the characters are animals and insects, and Spanish is incorporated into parts of the text or used next to items to build vocabulary. This is a wonderful book for all children to understand these holidays, but also to see how a community comes together to care and show respect for each other.
