The controls are simple and straitforward, and the safety features are excellent. I feel very safe using this chainsaw, even though I'm not a professional.

First, I'm surprised by all the reviews complaining about battery life. I've done a lot of work with this tool and have yet to run even one battery down. Nor have I had any trouble with the chain constantly loosening or falling off.

The reason for my 3 star rating is that I bought this particular product for its self oiling feature, and that feature is nonfunctional. Pressing on its stiff little bulb simply moves some bubbles through the plastic tube but only a bit of oil. My pole pruning saw requires manual oiling, and I did not want another, similar tool. It's a pain to carry an oil can around, and a messy business to use it. One could get a lot more work done without this nonsense.

My only other problem with this mini saw is the difficulty in getting its battery out. Major muscle strength, plus a well thought out strategy is required. There is no excuse for this ridiculous design. Doesn't anyone try out these products before putting them on the market?

Still, except for the useless oiler, I'm pleased overall with this purchase, and though it doesn't replace either gas chainsaw or loppers, it is a useful addition.

I am updating my review of this saw. The manufacturer, INOUMLIVE, apparently saw my 3 star review and contacted me, offering a free return. I replied that I didn't want to return the saw, I just wanted the oiler to work. They replied with several suggestions, including filling the reservoir only half to 3/4 full, and loosening the cap to admit air, and then pressing the bulb until the bubbles moved through. It worked! I thanked them, and suggested that their instructions include those suggestions. They agreed, and I hope they will do that.

The saw still does not quite rate 5 stars in my opinion, for minor problems listed above, and because both the switches and the bulb are stiff to operate, without hand fatigue setting in. But INOUMLIVE deserves a lot of credit for contacting me and responding to my issues with the saw. Minor improvements would easily move this saw into the 5 star class.

Nice little saw with a lot of power. However, it is what it is. This is an imported DeWalt imitation. Do not expect to get a made in USA tool. It does have a nice feature of integral oiler that many of these do not have. This will extend blade life and allow for smother operation. I have used mine a few times with good results. The plastic safety guard is junk as the thumb screw continually needs to be tightened while using. The safety strap may or may not be useful, as I think it is just one more thing to get in the way, but if you are hanging from a ladder and need to free up a hand, I guess you could use it to hang the saw onto something. Batteries charged up pretty quickly and last for a while. It uses the regular Harbor Freight import design for imported batteries, which isn't really a bad thing, but is what's expected at this price. The batteries are designed to look like DeWalt 20V, but they are not. My loving wife heard me say how impressed I was with its operation that she went out and bought me a second one to bring to the camp. Gotta love her. So now I have two of these. I have to say, for a hundred bucks, it is a nice little kit that comes with everything, including a spare chain, and is a lot easier to grab instead of going out and fuel up the 12" Stihl chainsaw. I am satisfied with my purchase and hope these batteries last at least a couple years.

This tool doesn't work at all. If I could give zero stars I would. It won't cut anything. The second it starts to grab the branch, the motor quits. It won't even cut through a half inch twig before stopping the motor. Tightening and loosening the chain doesn't help. Don't waste your money.

The motor disengaged from the spool. It lacks any kind of power to do anything at all. They should have stuck with their original design instead of whatever this "improved" garbage is. The one I had 5 years ago from the same company was amazing. This item doesn't even come close to comparing. Completely disappointed.

I LOVE this little saw. It's one of the only smaller chainsaws I could find that had a "self-lubricating" feature, and I'm so happy I bought it. This thing can get it. It's extremely easy to use and takes a surprising a lot of abuse. One of my pigs snuck up behind me and stole it off the ground where I was working one morning, and through it in the pond. It could have been there for 20 minutes before I figured it out. I let it dry for a day and fired it right back up.
