    After extensive research and comparison shopping, I decided to purchase both the PuroAir HEPA Air Purifier and a Levoit model to compare them side-by-side in my home. While the PuroAir had some impressive qualities, I ultimately returned it and kept the Levoit.

    What I Liked About PuroAir
    The PuroAir's standout quality was its H14 HEPA filtration system that captures up to 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns. This slightly edges out many competitors in pure filtration efficiency, making it particularly effective at removing dust, pollen, pet dander, and various allergens from the air.

    The automatic air sensor was responsive, with the air quality indicator changing colors when detecting pollutants and the fan speed adjusting accordingly. The unit also ran quietly on lower settings, making it suitable for bedroom use.

    Why I Returned It for Levoit
    Despite PuroAir's excellent filtration capabilities, after using both units, the Levoit clearly provided better overall value. The Levoit offered smart connectivity options, allowing me to control the purifier remotely and monitor air quality through an app - functionality the PuroAir lacked.

    I've used this air purifier for a musty basement that's about 600-700 square feet and just one of these is able to keep that musty smell away and I have not seen any growth of mildew or other basement related problems since. I would even consider buying more for the rest of the house. When I changed out the filter for the first time I had doubts since the "automatic" setting put the fan in low mode when I thought the basement was incredibly dusty and musty smelling, but after changing the filter it noticeably traps a lot of dust, spores, and anything else.

    I have small exotic pets in a cage, and they tend to smell. We have allergies to dust and dander. I wanted a good quality air purifier that was quiet and but does the work. I don't have a lot of floor space to work with! When I found this, I knew I had to try it. I bought the 2 pack because I live in a home with multiple floors. I figure the house must have been dirtier than I thought, because the first filter said it needed changing in 2 months...I was expecting to get 3 months out of it, at the very least! That got me a little ticked off. However, I decided to wait to replace the filter. It still worked, it was still quiet, and there was 1 day that I cooked something that gave off an odor due to the ingredients chosen for the recipe, I was shocked that the air purifier started to sound really loud and automatically changed to a higher speed, recognizing there was something in the air it needed to clean!!! After a few minutes, it automatically when down to low speed again and there has never been a problem with it! I changed the filter after the 3 month mark, because I just wasn't thinking about it. The filter was filthy! I purchased a 4 pack of filters to get me started, so I already had 1 to use for a filter change. Very easy to change!!! This purifier is easy to use, easy to care for, easy to manage. I love it! I was recommended to another brand by a friend, but I'm glad I didn't buy that brand, since it's pretty loud, comparatively speaking! I'm happy with the performance of this and I would highly recommend it!

    I researched many brands and love this air purifier. Exceptionally quiet on auto and moves a ton of air through from all sides. Attractive and unobtrusive design. Great size, great price. Cleans the air quickly and well. I also have a Hunter Console air purifier that is louder. This cleans so well that I haven't turned the Hunter on in quite a while due to the noise. I bought 3 of these as I think it works better to go a little smaller and place in different rooms. Highly recommend!!!!

    My husband hates a fan when we sleep, and I can't sleep without a little noise. I bought this for the bedroom and it is perfect. It is not loud, but makes just enough noise to help me stay asleep. It helps with the air quality as well, so win-win. I have not had to change the filter yet, I'm sure that I will soon. There are multiple setting as well. It is small, so it's not an eye sore in the room. It seems to be a good value for the money, and is priced well.

    great product. quiet when there is little filtering work to be done. i don’t know how it senses bad air but it has never been wrong. even humid laundry room smells are cleared with this thing. we have yet to replace the filter but it’ll be worth it to keep this unit in use.
