Cool Looking Chibi Style Mini Figures
These Star Wars mini figures sport the chibi look, they're overall quality is good. However though, they do seem to be more geared towards collectors and an older/mature audience.The figures come encapsuled by a Deathstar like capsule which holds four individually figures and a collector's checklist. The detailing on these mini figures is quite good, however, the one thing I noticed is that most of them have the same eye color, which makes them seem less "unique". Aside from that they have nice designs and look cool as collectibles... which comes to my next point.These are more geared towards an older/mature audience due to the collectible like nature of the mini figures. One thing to also keep in mind is that children typically don't really care about "Rarity" and collecting, they just want something to interact and play with. These figures don't offer much interaction really, they don't make noises, they don't light up and are not posable like action figures would be. So, to say "For ages 5 and Up" is more of a safety precaution than actual user age. The reason why is because their quite small and can definitely be a choking hazard for smaller children.As for the collectible viewpoint of the item, is their Rarity. I don't know what the odds are, but I got lucky with my unit having a Rare within it, that being "Finn" while the others were commons. So, with that said, even if they guaranteed at least 1 Rare figure (this unknown and this is only to be used as an example) you would need to buy at least 13 of these, and that's if you're ULTRA LUCKY enough not to get any duplicates of the rare figures. So "collecting them all" can be quite expensive endeavor, especially when you're chasing after the rare/ultra rare figures.Overall, these mini figures are more of a collectable more suitable for an older/mature audience that is capable of understanding the appreciation of collecting. I just don't see children under the age of 10 really getting too much thrill out these figures. Despite that though, they'd still make a nice gift and/or stocking stuffer (since Xmas is coming up soon...) for any fan of the Star Wars franchise.
