Separate units are easy to fit in the freezer
Got these ice molds for a 40oz Stanley cup. They are easy to clean and the lids fit on very nicely. You can stack them in any way that you want in the freezer, or even just use one or two if you don't want to use all three, which can help if you don't have a lot of freezer space. They seem like good quality, thick silicone. The bad is that to get the ice molds out, you have to use a lot of finger strength and it takes patience. They don't just pop out like I expected them to -- I ended up turning all three completely inside out in order to get the ice out, and I'm not sure how many times the silicone can be stretched like that and still hold up. I might try letting the ice melt a bit after taking them out of the freezer to see if it will then just slide out of the silicone. The pop out tabs in the middle are also hard to get to collapse back into themselves -- not a big issue for me, but it might be if you were expecting to be able to nest them for storage (they nest a bit, but not fully). The ice shapes fit well in the 40oz Stanley cup with space in the middle and along the sides for liquid to flow. A potential issue, which is not necessarily the product's fault, is that with all three cubes stacked, the straw won't fit and so you just have to sip it like a normal mug.

I was excited to get my 40 oz tumbler so that I can get in my daily intake of water. Then I saw these hollow, stackable, ice molds that are absolutely perfect for having an ice cold drink.

What is so special about these ice molds, instead of just using ice cubes, is that the ice won’t get in the way and the ice molds will last longer, and no broken glass straws, or the constant clinking of ice cubes. And what’s so nice about these ice molds is that there are three of them a large, medium, and small which makes them all stackable. I don’t have to use all three of them, but I most definitely will.
I picked the green color. It’s kind of a sage green color. It’s beautiful. It’s got a really nice design on the outside and has the hollowed out portion on the inside so that I’m going be able to easily build ice molds that won’t get in the way of my straw or my drinking water. Super easy to use because all I need to do is fill the molds with water, store them inside the freezer, and then they very easily release the ice mold. Plus these ice molds will last up to 24 hours. This will encourage me to refill my tumbler several times so that I will definitely get enough water, and ice cold, delicious water. It’s best to place the smallest ice molds first and then stack the middle, and then the large on top.
I can use these ice molds for shorter tumbler’s, but they will have to be the smallest, or the middle size to fit the tumbler. My 40 oz will hold all three of the ice molds and regarding the ice molds, they’re obviously reusable. They are BPA free, food grade, and even dishwasher safe. I love that these are dishwasher safe.
The price for these 3 complete ice molds, and the straw hats which I love, are an incredible price of $9.75. Great price and these would also be a nice gift for someone who uses their Stanley tumbler, or any tumbler for that fact, to keep their drinks ice cold. I was super excited that they came with three straw stoppers that are little cowboy hats absolutely adorable, and made me smile hugely when I saw this.

I found that in order to freeze these ice molds that a plate was needed to hold them all in place in the freezer. When I went to defrost and use the frozen ice molds, I found that the mold would not release the ice. In fact, the silicone actually stuck to it. So I let the ice molds defrost on their own and was finally able to release the ice. Seemed too much effort on my part to get ice.

I have a 40-ounce insulated tumbler that has a pretty similar design so I figured it would fit and it does. Nice to know these aren't so detailed that they only fit in one brand of tumbler. The first thing I did when I got them was to pull on the circular part that has the tab on it to fully open each one. Then I set them in the freezer added water, then put the green lid on each of the 3 molds.
I started to write my review and saw several others that mentioned these cowboy hats. I looked back through the packaging and didn't see it so forgot about those.
By the next morning, I had 3 frozen molds, ready to use. They are actually very easy to get the ice out. I just started rolling the silicone back in the opposite direction so that by the time the ice was out, the mold was turned inside-out. I figured I was good to go after seeing the smallest one fit in the bottom (see 2nd photo). Sure enough, all 3 fit just fine. I initially had an issue getting my straw to fit all the way to the bottom but it was in 2/3 of the way.
Finally when I got ready to turn them right side out again to add more water, lo and behold...there was a little baggie with 3 cowboy hats stuck in the smallest mold. They must have been frozen in there the first time which is what created the strange-looking hole and probably also why my straw didn't fit neatly all the way to the bottom. And now the straw stopper cowboy hats are out of the ice molds now!
