I bought 10 of these to organize my linen closet. They are GREAT for sheet sets. My sheets always look messy because I'm not a great sheet folder to begin with, plus my cats get in the closet when they can and sleep on them. So I jumped at these organizers. I love the blue color. I also have one of those awkward tall spaces at the top of my linen closet that's hard to access or see what is stored there. So now I have my flannel and other seasonal sheets in these boxes and lined up on the top shelf. I love it. I love opening the door and seeing the pop of color, plus not having to search stacks for the right sheet set.
I could easily fit a queen size flat sheet, fitted sheet and 2-4 pillow cases in each one. Flannel sheets in queen are a little tight, but they fit. Duvet cover and pillow shams need a second box. I read other reviews that said they could fit blankets and comforters, but none of my other queen size bedding fit except for the sheets. Neither do towels, but my towels stay neat on the shelves anyway. I did use some boxes to store throws, pillow covers, etc.
I love the windows on 2 sides so you can see the contents. There are labels too, but I don't need them because our sheets are color coded and each person can see their sheets through the little windows. With windows on 2 sides, you can store them vertically or horizontally, depending on the depth and height of your shelves. Since they bulge a little when full, I "filed" them on the shelves with the zippered sections facing each other so they looked more neat.
All in all they are a great design. My only beef is with the zippers. I am not mechanically challenged, and I know how to put 2 sides of a zipper together. The problem was I really had to wrestle with a few. Some boxes just had better zippers than others. I hate wrestling with the zippers, so I won't use these boxes for sheets I am rotating once a week, just more seasonal sheet sets. I'm not sure what else they could do except maybe have the boxes close with ties or something, but zippers are probably better. I wish these were easier to use. You definitely can't over-stuff these boxes if you want the zippers to work. They do seem strong enough though once you get them zipped.
Another point in case you are wondering: these boxes won't allow you to fit even more stuff in your closet. On the contrary, they forced me to purge some old sets I am not fond of anymore, but that was a good thing. What I have left is a lot easier to access now that each set has its own box and fits nicely on the shelves.
I'm really very happy with these except for it taking several tries to get each zipper closed.
