Great Lint Shaver... almost perfect!
I wished I learned this device existed long ago. My Champion Powerblend Fleece Sweatshirts became badly lint-balled after several months. I have no idea why. Maybe because I napped in them. Like an idiot, I tried a lint roller, lint brush, magic, prayer, nothing worked. I finally used my single brain cell and searched the internet. Two weeks later I received this. If you have only a few things to shave, look no further. I just finished two sweatshirts and it took around 45 minutes. I kid you not they look and feel brand new. Smooth as silk and no million little lint balls. Beware that it gobbled two AA batteries pretty much, but that's OK. I don't have a lot to shave. This one comes with two extra cutter heads. One flaw with the design: the dust cup opens way too easily if you grip the cutter a certain way. When that happens, the lint goes everywhere because the cutter is still on which blows the lint with hurricane force winds. Super happy anyway.

I bought this to shave a couch because couch was looking very shabby. Every surface was pilled and matted. I tried the shaver on various heights and ended up preferring the results when I removed the height adapter. The instructions were great. The quick start guide was spot on. It takes 2 AA batteries that are not included -- so plan ahead to get some batteries (I did not). The battery life has been impressive too. I was able to shave a whole 120" couch + 2 ottomans as well as a sweater on the same batteries with no problem. The lint catcher fills up pretty quickly, so that is kind of annoying, but that means it is doing its job! Removing and emptying the lint catcher is a little tricky. You have to be careful to not accidentally open the battery compartment when sliding the lint compartment in the other direction. But that's not a huge concern. It comes with a cleaning brush and extra blades. Overall, I think it is great quality for the price and do recommend.

TLDR: This little de-piller is really good at small / spot depilling; between the legs of leggings, armpits of sweaters, a small section of sweatpants, but not good at “bulk” depilling like a couch, blanket, etc.

Pros:
- comes with 2 replacement blade heads
- has a guard for fragile fabrics that’s adjustable
- easy to clean out and take apart for cleaning
- great at spot de-pilling like between the legs of leggings, armpits of sweaters, etc
- doesn’t cut fabric, even very delicate fabric in my experience
Cons
- not suitable for bulk de-pilling
- if using over a large section of fabric, the pills will get tangled up in the shaft of the spinning component and slow it down significantly at speed 2 / will stop turning entirely on speed 1 and I had to stop to clean it out with tweezers every 2 mins or so
- I wish it had some sort of suction to help pull the pills into the shaver
The usefulness and value of this product will depend entirely on what you’re using it for. I want to clean up an entire queen size blanket. It’s not strong enough nor clog resistant enough for this to be worth it. Tho it does do a good job on small areas as mentioned above.
