Small and not very well made…
My wife was wanting an Ottoman for the living room as she has issues reaching the floor with her feet when sitting upright on the couch. I found this on my Vine feed and was excited because I could get one for her and as a bonus, could have storage for some of the blankets that are constantly strewed about. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was how small it was compared to what I was thinking it would be. That kind of killed the thought of storage for the blankets as it is just big enough to store one. However, the build quality was what shocked me. It is rather flimsy on the sides. The sides are made of a fairly light cardboard and flex with little effort. The surface materials are not very good either. The surface material feels like a substandard canvas-like material that I’m pretty sure will fray once snagged on something. Finally, there were numerous stray threads that were all over the side of the top. Not very confidence inspiring… However, my wife does approve of the height of it. She is 5’3” and her feet don’t reach the floor if she is sitting upright on our couch. This Ottoman reaches just at the right to keep her feet at a comfortable height to sit for extended periods. So, at least one part of my original thoughts worked out! Storage is not much on this. Like I said, it will hold a blanket bunched up inside and maybe a little more than that on top of it. You can’t really store folded blankets inside because a folded blanket will be too big to fit the external dimensions and if you fold it to fit, it will be too tall for the top to fit securely. But on the plus side, having that stored in there does make the sides less prone to flexing. Honestly, I don’t think this is worth the price it is going for. You can probably go to a thrifty-type store and find something similar for cheaper. I don’t imagine it will last terribly long before it ends up in a landfill. I guess time will tell.
