Easy to use pins to hold my down comforter in place inside the duvet cover. I did have to buy a second set as I lost the "magnetic key" to remove them. This does keep the comforter from shifting out of place very well. I have been using these for 2+ years and they are holding up well. No problems - until I lost the "key"!

Does what you need it to do!
When I first got my duvet cover, I had seen many people recommend getting duvet pins, but seeing the price of them, I convinced myself I didn't need them. For reference, I have a full sized bed, but a queen size duvet with two king size inserts (I did this to get a more fluffy result). I move around a lot in my sleep and my best friend stays over often, so that means fighting over the blanket while we are asleep. I thought the insert moving around wouldn't bother me much, but it did, so I got these. The first time, I put four on with some on the outside and some inside. I ended up putting one one wrong so it moved a little. Now, I use seven and I put them all inside the duvet cover. To do this, I turn the cover inside out, lay the two inserts on it, puts the pins on and then use the burrito/sushi method of rolling it up. Then I just fluff it out. My main concern was that I would see the pins, but since I have them inside, I don't. My second concern was feeling the pins. Since the blanket is so big, I never find myself feeling it, and if I do it isn't really a problem; I much rather feel the small plastic piece once in a blue moon than having *two* duvet inserts bunching up. The magnets are very strong and won't come off luckily. I saw some people complaining about them in the washer, but I separate my inserts and cover because my machine is small, so I can't comment on that.TLDR: If you don't want your duvet inserts moving at night, get these.
