I’m a 20 something year old girl and it took me a few hours to put this together myself but it is doable. HIGHLY recommend using a drill. My box came tattered (it is HEAVY, so I’m giving the delivery people some grace) but overall the contents were intact. Initially I was frustrated with crooked doors, however, READ THE LAST PAGE OF THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL. It tells you EXACTLY how to fix crooked doors!!!! My doors are now perfectly aligned. Just an FYI the surfaces scratch relatively easily, however I expected that with the price point of this item and the fact that it’s literally advertised as “engineered wood”. Also, the cabinet hinges are soft close which is a plus.

    This is my third time ordering this tv stand. The first time it came with no hardware, the second got lost and the third came with ill fitting hardware. It is beautiful but not worth the headache of putting it together.

    This media counsel took 5 hours to put together and it’s just junk. The box came torn up, the doors don’t aline, and the screw holes are so tiny that the screws don’t fit. It’s also much darker than the photo.

    Heaviest and densest particle board I've ever worked with. It's dang close to actual wood. It is not actual wood though, it's still MDF resin'd recycled woodchips but it's super dense. Guess it could be classified as HDF.

    QC is iffy. The backing only had four pilot holes pre-drilled and using just those, I bonked it once and popped it out on one side. I'll need to staple gun or get a cordless drill to solve this in the future. For now it's not a big deal.

    The doors were drilled all kinds of out of alignment and the existing alignment adjustments only do so much. The holes ARE the vertical alignment adjustment (one side of the hinge has oval holes for a little play) the hinge doesn't have a floating mechanism for vertical like high quality stuff. Just lateral. I did the best with what I had but one of the end doors is about 1.5cm too low. It's not awful. But it's not great.

    Given high end furniture costs a barons fortune these days, this is certainly a decent alternative.

    It took about four hours to assemble alone. It's engineered reasonably well aside from the QC issues and the directions were fairly clear.

    Mad props to the UPS delivery driver who delivered this thing on his onesome. The box literally states two people to move. It's a heavy boy and amazon does not classify it as a 'heavy object'.
