- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2023I am a Grandmother. When my daughter was in preschool, I read this book to her preschool class. They all got up and and had a ball following what the pages said to do. Needless to say, I didn’t embarrass my daughter and was a hit in her class. Now I am going to read this book I just ordered to my granddaughter in her preschool!
Second generation and can’t be proud enough!!! I love this book because it is happy!!! Thank you for making wonderful memories with this book. A grateful mother and Grandmother.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2006Our son (age 2 now, about 18 months when he first started really being able to play along) enjoyed this book so much at a friend's house that we had to buy one of our own, and we've given it as a gift to others, too. The pictures are fun and imaginative, and the simple rhyme is cute, but the real magic is in watching kids follow the book's instructions - turn around, find something red, growl like a lion, etc. They get to practice following directions, hone their motor skills, burn off some energy, and have a sense of accomplishment about doing all the actions - and, of course, the kids just think they're having fun! We love this book!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2022My daughter is 15 now but she loved this book growing up so I purchased for my grandson. It was so fun to do the movements with them, very interactive!!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2017OKay, so....I love this book. I have loved it for years since my now 10yr old would meet us in our bedroom with this book in tow, only to stand in the midst of our bed while we read this to her and she acted out the whole thing. It was a great bedtime ritual. You can imagine the wear and tear on that particular copy and so I decided to surprise her with a new copy, one she could keep forever. OKay...while I love the book, I should have read the description better because what I got was not the same copy of what I had....it is a board book. My mistake. However, it's actually a mistake that made sense upon it arriving. It is small, it's more durable since it's a board book and not pages that could wear over time and so it turns out this was a great memento type gift for her to keep and read to her own children. So, if you order this, pay attention to the format you choose. :)

- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2023I keep gifting this as a baby shower gift because it was one of my children’s favorite books and was given to me as a gift. A fun engaging story for children and adults!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2013I knew this is a book I wanted to purchase because I had read with my daughter when she brought it home from her pre-school library. The illustrations are a tad weird, as other people have commented, but the actions are so cute. I look forward to reading this to my daughter and having her mimic the actions.
Library binding option offered through Amazon is more like a regular hard cover book. I'm not so sure it's technically the library binding, because it's not as big and it doesn't have the cover sleeve like the one my daughter brought home from her school library. $10 may have been a more reasonable price for what ended up arriving at our door.
This book does have a cover and is fully illustrated unlike the picture shows for the library binding option.

5.0 out of 5 stars An old favourite
I found one of these years ago and my children loved it, they can join in some of the actions before they're truly mobile and it encourages them to get moving with a lot of fun involved. I bought this one for my cousin's 6mo daughter.

5.0 out of 5 stars So Much Fun
Great book for anyone with small kids or who works with them. I am a dance instructor and use this in my creative dance class for kids 2-4. They love it!
