    This match cloche is very pretty! It's about the size of an old incandescent lightbulb, it fits well in my hand but I certainly can't close my hand around it by any means. The wide flared base lets it stand upright steadily, and the cork plug in the bottom fits snugly so the matches won't push it out when it's upright and holding them inside.

    The description says "For long matches / Fireplace matches" - yeah, not so much. It can handle the longest 'normal' wood matches I've seen, but fireplace matches - which are like a foot long - absolutely no chance, they're about three times longer than this holder and the holder itself is at least an inch longer than the longest matches it can hold. But for any match that isn't a super-long fireplace match, this will do a lovely job of holding things and looking artistic doing so.

    I saw some reviews complaining that this doesn't come with matches inside it. I'm fine with this - we've got household favorite matches and I was happy to be able to load it up with my preferred ones.

    Well-made, worth the price. You'll get a lot of use out of this for candles, incense, fireplaces, and whatever else you like to light up, you crazy pyro!

    This items exudes quality! The glass is pristine and elegant and the cork fits just right. I was initially worried about how easy it would be to insert and remove the matches, but it turns out it is very easy to do. The bottle also included an extra striking strip should you need it, which is a nice bonus. This made a perfect addition to our coffee table to hold matches for our scented candles, so we bought the long white headed matches from the same brand and they go together perfectly!
