    Kettle is neat, unobtrusive and comfortable in the hand when pouring, however I am editing the review I initially left because the lid does not release.
    I had a replacement it the replacement problem is worse so obviously a manufacturer issue.
    It's an expensive kettle it should function completely

    As far as heating water is concerned, it's fine. However, the loud 'bong' at the start and end of the process becomes highly irritating and worst of all, the lid mechanism is badly designed so doesn't work. To open the latch on the lid you have to press a button on the lid itself; when you release the button the latch closes again before the lid has a chance to lift so the only option is to prise it open with a fingernail while pressing the button, risking scalding from the steam inside.
