I bought this a month ago and I’m so happy, this product it’s definitely pricey but so far worth all the money, left my hair so shiny and soft and I feel this straightener is more gentle than my last platinum tool, my hair keeps straight and less frizzy longer than before and the touch system is so cool, I don’t use to curl my hair, so I’m not sure how easy or not it is with this tool but definitely I’ll be trying that in a short future

Update April 2023: 5 stars This has become my favorite flat iron. I’ve had no more issues with paint coming off of it. It works. It does a fabulous job of making my hair look really smooth and silky. I will use the refresh function sometimes, but for the most part, I just stick with what I programmed it to do. I do have to get out the instruction manual if I want to change the settings, because I don’t always remember how to do it. So, I decided to just get my daughter, her own iron, so that I don’t need to adjust settings. September 2022: 4 stars Pros: It will automatically shut off after one hour of use. If you don’t like the settings that you’ve already established, you can factory reset it by pushing the power button and the refresh button at the same time. Each iron has its own individual serial number that you need to register the product for warranty. The serial number is on the outside of the box and also inside the handle on the iron. The iron comes with a Velcro cord wrap, which makes storing the cord easier and reminds you to not wrap the cord around the iron. If you don’t like the settings that the iron chooses for you, you can adjust it manually. By pushing the power button twice, the screen is in lock mode, and cannot be adjusted during use, unless you unlock it. (Prevents accidental changes while using the iron). The screen must be locked in order for the iron to start heating up. The iron has a very smooth touch surface on both the top and bottom. The iron will be much easier to use, if you read the instruction manual first. After the initial settings are set up on the iron, the next time you plug it in, push and hold the power button to turn it on, it automatically goes into lock mode and heats up the iron. I feel like it functions the same way a standard iron does. The iron did not pull my hair, as I straightened it. I was able to put a cute little curl in the end of my hair. My hair felt very soft when I was done, and it stayed smooth for the next two days, until I washed it again. (Note: I always use a heat protectant spray). It makes a sound when the iron is fully heated and ready to use, which is nice, if are doing other things like putting on moisturizer or make up, and not paying attention to it. It is really pretty, and matches my blow dryer from the same brand. This iron will be replacing the T3 single pass iron that I purchased at a warehouse store three years ago, that I have loved, and it still works wonderfully. Cons: I already have paint coming off of the iron from somewhere. The outside gets really hot if you have it plugged in and on for longer than 10 minutes. It does not include a heat glove or a heat mat. Does not include a heat resistant cover that would keep the end from getting dinged up if you place it in one of those heat resistant cups on your countertop for storage.

This is a high quality, stylish, lightweight flat iron that creates nice curls with ease. However, I don’t think it has enough grip to effectively straighten my hair with one pass. When I put my hair between the two plates it feels loose like it’s gliding over my hair versus straightening it. Therefore, I have to repeat the process a couple times to get the desired results. If you look closely at the picture, you’ll see there’s still frizz present, especially at the bottom.

I would also recommend reading the text guide that’s included (without the colored pictures) to check the heat settings based on your hair texture input. I think having the ability to set my desired temperature would be ideal considering the price of this iron. I would’ve loved to see a cloth bag for storage and/or a heat resistant mat included as well.
Overall, I have cheap flat irons, expensive ones, and an Instyler but so far my old Bio Ionic One Pass iron on 350 F is still winning.
