I ordered one for each of my girls. My younger is 4m and I got her 12m to fit all winter. It's big now I roll the sleeves twice and she's very tall for her age, but I'm fine with that because I won't need to get another. My older girl is 18m and I got her 24m, she's tiny for her age and hers is big too but not as big as the baby's is. For her I can just scrunch the sleeves up. My older girl loves hers. Since she tried it on she doesn't want to take it off. The zipper seems sturdy but I do wonder how well the overall materials will hold up. I've had other fuzzy lined sweaters like this shred in the wash initially so I think its better to hand wash these. I live in a 4 season climate and still think this is more of a coat than a sweater, especially once layered up on frigid days. I got the white/cream color because it's neutral, I like to get neutral things so they can pass onto other children without worry about gender, seems more sustainable to me to get primarily neutral items. It will also match anything. It might be too bulky for a car seat so keep that in mind, if using in a car seat I'd probably size down rather than up. I do disagree with those who say it runs small though, I think it runs true in the 24m and large in the 12m. I did size up but my 4m old wears mostly 9m already and this seems more than a size up. This is fine with me but something to consider if you want a fitted look.
