For years I’ve struggled with some type of auto immune response where my mouth becomes very inflamed. No doctor has figured it out and I test negative for any allergies. I’ve tried numerous products….some over the counter and some prescribed. My mouth was so red and swollen 2 days ago I could barely stand it. This product came quick! Thank God! After applying, I immediately had some relief. 2 days later and I am 60-70% healed! I highly recommend this product and I plan on keeping a supply always on hand.

Great for cold sores!
I love this gel! I recently got a cold sore, and it was MASSIVE-- super swollen and gross. I refused to go in public more than absolutely necessary, because it felt (and looked) like I had a balloon attached to my lip. I used an entire tube of Abreva, which was helpful but nowhere near as helpful as this gel. Within hours of applying it, the swelling had gone down and it seemed to draw a lot of the gunk out of the cold sore, so I had to wipe it off and reapply it every couple of hours. Within 2 days, the cold sore began to scab over! I'm definitely keeping this on hand! I will say this-- once the cold sore starts to scab, stop applying the Lysine gel and let the scab dry up and flake off. The gel keeps it too moist and prevents the scab from fully forming, causing the sore to re-open. And make sure to apply the gel with a new q-tip each time and don't double-dip to prevent the cold sore from spreading! This is also really good for keeping my lips from being chapped. My boyfriend always has chapped lips, and every chapstick he's gotten seems to make it worse unless he applies it daily, but this lysine gel even works for him!
