So I knew I had to get him something similar that he could put in the jar over and over. Plus it has "coins" AND "stix" (wooden circles and wooden dowels) and the top is interchangeable to accommodate either. However, the small pieces are not very easy to keep up with. Well, for my energetic kiddo anyways.... overall, I definitely recommend. It helps with fine motor skills, colors, counting, matching, sorting, etc
