I recommend this brush, but you gotta ditch the rope b/c it will eventually get moldy around the handle. When that happened to me, I tossed the rope in the trash, soaked the brush in a diluted bleach solution overnight to remove black stain around the handle, and now it's good as new. NOTE: This is a light brush, not an abrasive scrubber! Use a chainmail on your cast iron, barkeepers friend on your stainless steel, and this brush for your dishes and silverware. Picking the right tool for the job makes a big difference.

    I bought this scrub brush because it came with a dish to let the scrub brush properly dry. I was very disappointed in the product. The bristles collapsed very quickly although initially they did clean very well.The real issue was even though I rinsed after useand put it in the dish to dry, the wood became black at the base where the bristles attached. Whether that was mould or just the wood not drying out properly, I ended up throwing it away. I’m getting tired of cheap Chinese products that get thrown into the landfill.
