Funny and cute, plays pop music not baby music
This is a fun gag type of gift, I'd be a little reluctant to give this to a baby (as demonstrated in the description), because of the small parts. Highly recommend only supervised play with little ones, since the hat and scarf are removable and the eyes I can't tell if they are glued on or what.Aside from the safety issues, this isn't exactly playing kid friendly tunes. Nothing wrong with what it plays as there really isn't any comprehensible words being sung, aside from Happy Birthday. It's mostly pop type of music and other funky beats that are fun (for adults) to dance to. It is rather loud, though, even for my adult ears, and I don't see any way to lower the volume. Again, another reason I don't think this is for babies.The repeat function works without having to hold the button down; once you turn it on it will repeat almost everything, including when you make a noise or move the thing across the table. It isn't always perfect at mimicking either, as sometimes words are cut off too soon or before recording, but it's certainly fun to play with and would make an amusing gag gift.The thumbnail picture makes it look like this is huge but it's about as tall as my cat, quite small and easy to hold. The base is plush and the buttons are marked with stickers. Included is a USB cable for charging the internal batteries.Overall, it's cute and fun and a good value. Makes for a fun gift, even my kitty was intrigued by it.
