Pictures are of the pen set I received, the practice doodles I made in my novels, and the reverse side to show how visible the ink is through the page.

I used two different books, with different paper types. Book one has standard off white paper, typical paperback feel; the second has bright white paper, similar to computer printer paper.

Results were the same for both types of paper; To the naked eye the ink is slightly visible on the backside, and almost unnoticeable when there is text (example: I drew a red heart behind the letter H in Hunting and Heather, but the book text is all I see when reading the page)

I spent several years looking for the perfect pens for my daily planner and journals. Ones that were the right tip size, didn't bleed, and were pigmented enough to see on the page. These Stabilo pens are perfection. There were a few colors in this pack that weren't dark enough for my intended purposes, but only 4-5 I think. I gave them to my mom to use for the fine details in her adult coloring books. They work great for that too! They are also very comfortable in the hand and the lids stay on well.
