This is actually a pretty nice soak off system for the price. It does seem to take a while to soak off dip powder. It takes 30 minutes or so just to soak one hand. Now, that’s not unusual, but I’m just impatient and that is really not the fault of this soak off set. What I have learned to do is allow it to heat up longer than the instructions say to do. I do keep a very close eye on it to make sure that it doesn’t heat to the point where it dissipates the acetone. For me, allowing it to heat up longer seems to help the acetone soak off the dip powder easier, and quicker, than if I waited the allotted amount of time specified in the instruction manual and then proceed trying to remove my nails. I wouldn’t recommend that. I would stick to what the instruction manual says. I will say this works excellent for gel nail polish. I don’t have any idea how it works on acrylic because I don’t use acrylic nails. It is very easy to clean up and I do like that the bowl is ceramic. It stores nicely because of the size. However, because of the size, unless you have very small hands, you cannot get both hands in the bowl at the same time; which again, is really all on me because I’m impatient and I want both hands soaking at the same time. So I do give this five stars because I would buy it again. It does work great. I wish it was a little larger so that both hands fit, I do not have very large hands. My hands are relatively small but they still don’t fit at the same time. I wish it was larger, but I would buy this again.

I’ve been soaking my nails off for years- sometimes I drill/file them down then soak, sometimes I stand at my stove with a glass container in a pan of hot water to heat the acetone to make the process quicker (I’ve even sat my hand on fire). All while drilling/filing before I stick my hand back in the acetone.
I didn’t think this could be faster than that, but read a review of a lady who does the same thing and she said the timing was improved.
Once it heat up all the way- I KID YOU NOT- it took 5 minutes to soak off my entire hand! I was completely stunned (the first hand took longer, but I don’t think it was heated up all the way)!
I keep taking my first hand out to monitor progress and was shocked it was happening with such little effort!
I’m amazed! I wish I’d known about this sooner!!!
FYI- I was taking clear dip powder off as overlay. No scraping my natural nails is so much better!!!
I did have 1 false nail on that had gel glue (the kind that has to be cured under a light) and removal of that wasn’t as easy.
Overall- I highly recommend this product!!!

However, I am not happy with the company. They sent me a used product. It was missing pads, and was not cleaned. I cleaned and sanitized it completely before first use. But I disappointed that their product control is not better.

Follow the instructions that come with, and you should be golden.

Previous review: I bought this, thinking it would be a miracle gel polish remover. I'm good with my efile, but I figured it would be nice to give my efile (and myself) a break from time to time. After 1600+ 4.5 star reviews, I expected this to remove my gel quickly. Nope. I removed a lot of layers of gel polish from my fingers and left just a few layers of builder and base for removal (builder gel is soak-off) and I did everything the instructions said to do. A half hour later, I have fingers that are dried out by the acetone and builder gel that won't budge. I'm really frustrated that I paid money for this thing when I could've easily used a mug warmer I already had with two bowls holding water and the other for acetone! Don't bother with this if you already have a mug warmer!

I've recently become obsessed with learning to do my own dip-powder nails and I quickly learned that removal is the longest and most arduous part of the process. Trying to use the same "foil-over-cotton" method I saw at salons was taking over an hour. As a mom with two small kids I don't have a lot of time to myself and I was wasting it just waiting to get my old dip off. Sometimes by the time I got the old dip off I was too tired and it was too late in the evening to do a new set. I tried multiple brands of acetone and nothing seemed to help....Enter this thing. I bought it after seeing someone rave about it on the "dippowdernails" subreddit. I was a bit hesitant because I don't like owning a bunch of "stuff" that clutters up my home, but this has totally been worth it. Once fully heated up I've been able to get all the old tip off a hand in less than 10 minutes! That's an amazing improvement, and frankly, a game-changer for me time-wise. It' makes doing a new set of nails between the time my kids go to bed and when I need to go to bed on a weeknight possible.
I will caveat that I use an e-file to shave off the top portion of the dip and help aid the process. I'm not sure how much longer it would take without. Also, as other reviewers have stated, it does take a while to heat up so you want to turn it on beforehand and let it heat up while you do other prep.
