We have ornate brass legs on our dining room set, so I wasn't sure if these would work. They have a 2 inch globe on the bottom then go up to a 1 inch leg. I ordered the largest size because of the 2 inch globe. The stretchiness of the clear portion worked well. It fit over the ball & retracted on the leg. The chairs now slide quietly and effortlessly on the floor without worry of scratching the wood! The chairs are extremely heavy, I can barely lift them, so hopefully these last long with the weight. If they do not, I will update my review. But, at this point, I highly recommend these chair leg protectors.

My chair legs were in the middle of the fit bracket. They look pretty good, basically not attracting attention.

I'm pretty picky about the slide of the chairs, they slide fine but not too easily. So perfect. The bottom is a durable dense felt like material and seems well attached to the clear part. While I haven't had them too long there doesn't seem to be a wear issue. I think I found the right product for me.
