They fit exactly how I need them to and provide plenty of protection between the pans. I haven't tried to use them as a trivet with anything hot, as that was never what I intended, but I would be cautious if I did. They are just not as thick as I would prefer to use for that. But they are a very nice silicone and pretty color. I can see them used for many things.
