Fun and engaging activities for early learners
This book is great for early learners especially since most first grade programs do not have a grammar/writing component. My kids love these activities and so excited for the lessons.

    My son brought the book to me a couple of times asking where to write the rest of his sentence when he ran out of room. Some pages don't have this issue at all, and a couple of them really frustrated him. But we worked out our own solution. Hope the feedback helps future revisions or workbooks. We will continue to buy them!

    Examples are pages 26 and 45. Not worth docking any stars, just a way to go from great to excellent!

    This workbook provides a lot of fun and different activities and games for a first grader to practice writing skills. The workbook has bright colors that appealed to my child. There are activities for capitalization, letters, punctuation, nouns, verbs, and so much more. I really liked the variety of activities and games to engage my child. I also liked that as my child completed a page he could color in the appropriate star to keep track of what he had completed. I was so glad that the author provided an answer key too. I received an advance copy of this workbook and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

    As a teacher who has taught first grade now for over 11 years, I am always looking for engaging and fun activities for my students. This colorful and thorough workbook is an excellent resource for writing! Each page in the workbook directly ties into the age appropriate skills and standards I teach in first grade. Even my own personal child was immediately drawn to this workbook because of its vibrant colors and graphics. My child is usually reluctant to do extra practice outside of school so I was thrilled to see her so engaged! I love the fact that she is learning but at the same time she feels excited. I would highly recommend this writing workbook!

    I received an advanced review copy of My First Grade Writing Workbook by Kelly Malloy. It is a great resource for a home-school setting, tutoring, or for use within a classroom setting. It is a fun, bright, colorful, and eye-catching workbook for children. The workbook provides loads of fun and different activities for first graders to practice punctuation and grammar skills. There is a great array of activities (mazes, coloring, word search, tracing/writing) within the book. I like that children can color in the stars to show their skills! It is great that the author provided an answer key as well.

    This colorful book provides lots of fun activities to help children learn and practice grammar skills and writing. The activities were set up in an appropriate sequence for young learners. The activities were varied to keep children engaged.
    I appreciate that an answer key was also provided and the writing certificate at the end. The stars at the beginning of the workbook are great for motivation and keeping track of the completed activities.
    This workbook is geared towards first grade but would be great as extra practice for a 2nd or 3rd grader or to use as an intervention for a struggling student.
    I was provided with an advance review copy of this workbook.

    I was provided with an advance review copy. I am glad I am able to review this fun product. The first thing to grab me is the delightful and easy to read cover. For a kid, this looks like fun and not work! Opening the book is equally delightful. The colored pages are so captivating and inviting. The activities are engaging and diverse. This workbook would be great for parents wanting a summer review for kids. It would also be a fun addition to homeschool curriculum. Many of the activities would make good extension activities in the classroom. You won’t be disappointed in this find!

This book is very adaptable and easy to use for parents and their children. We recommend this book to anyone supporting a first grader or struggling second grader.
