The son of Norwegian parents, Roald Dahl was born in Wales in 1916 and educated at Repton. He was a fighter pilot for the RAF during World War Two, and it was while writing about his experiences during this time that he started his career as an author.

His fabulously popular children's books are read by children all over the world. Some of his better-known works include James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Mr Fox, Matilda, The Witches, and The BFG.

He died in November 1990.

Great books, bad delivery and packing

Great books, bad delivery and packing
The books are to be expected. However shipping was roughhoused; which in tern damaged the corners of the book box set inside. At least the individual books are in good condition. I would return/replace, but we need it for a birthday this weekend (shipping already took over a week from Prime). Packing included “air space bubbles”, however every single one was deflated. (See pictures). Delivery was from a private car, not the typical Prime trucks. So it’s a little disappointing that the packing and distribution was jacked up. Overall, books are great though. I wish there was a feedback or complaint option instead of just posting a Review and/or Return/Replace the entire product.
