You will learn so much about your family!! They are def worth it!
My boys (age 10) really enjoy when we ask questions at the dinner table, so instead of asking the generic "how was your day", "what did you learn at school today" stuff, I turned to the internet for questions. I found about 50 I could print out, but once we went through those, the kids kept asking, "do you have any more questions to ask", so that's when I took to Amazon and found TABLETOPICS. They just came in the mail yesterday and the kids were excited to have new questions to answer. Some questions are specific to the kids, "What is your favorite thing to do at recess". But others were great for the whole family to answer like "if you could change one thing in the world what would it be". With normal dinner conversations, it's not very engaging, but with these cards, I learned so much more about my boys! I found out that one plays imaginary baseball with a group of friends at recess, and the other son has a club that "trains" during recess. Learning these things actually prompted my husband and me to dig a little deeper into the recess question b/c I was curious about how they play imaginary baseball and what kinds of things was my other son "training" in. I have now added these to my dining room decor so they are right there whenever we're eating dinner as a family. There are circa 130 questions to a pack, and I did find $25 to be a little steep, but they will get used, and we can incorporate them when company comes over as well. I def plan to buy several of the other packs just so we have plenty of questions to go around. I am also looking forward to seeing how our answers change as we all get older, so I don't think just because we've answered the questions once that we're done with them.

Family gift for Christmas my 9 and 7 year old love these. Creates great family discussions at the dinner table. Quick easy prompts the whole family can use

This was an excellent addition to my family's dinner table discussions. The cards have asked questions that have provoked thinking outside the box and a deeper conversation.

My family is one one a dying breed that eats dinner at the table together every night. Throughout the years, I've used various conversation-starting techniques ("How was your day starting with the letter M?" or "How was your day ending with '... and then I had a delicious dinner!'?) When I came across this cube of cards on Amazon, it seemed like it was made for my family. The price was a little steep, but I decided to give it to myself as a Christmas gift. The cards arrived in good condition; my plastic cube was in perfect shape, not damaged at all as some other reviewers have experienced. Each card has one question printed on it. The questions aren't anything groundbreaking or earth shattering - you could have probably thought of all of them yourself, if you had the time and inclination. The cards include questions such as:

      what's your favorite dessert
who is one of your heroes and why do they inspire you
would you keep a secret if you knew someone would get hurt if you did
if you were showing a foreigner around your town where would you take them
      what's your favorite family tradition
what do you say when someone gives you a gift you already have
if you could speak another language which would you choose
how does a person become courageous
what would you like to change about your school

      Overall Impressions
      Pros:
      - My kids (ages 12 and 9) LOVE these cards. They really look forward to answering the questions every day.
      - The plastic cube is thick and sturdy. The overall design is very attractive.
      - The cards are thick cardstock and seem durable enough.
      - These are a fun and simple way to get people talking and thinking at the table

      Cons:
      - You may have noticed that the questions listed above have no capitalization and almost no punctuation. I typed them out just as they are written on the cards. Really. This drives me absolutely crazy. I get that it's probably supposed to be "stylistic," and I'm as big a fan of ee cummings as the next gal, but my 9 year old really struggles with writing skills. I would have liked it better if these cards provided more of a model of good mechanics. Would it have killed the people at Tabletopics to at LEAST throw in a comma here and there?? (I won't even bring up the fact that the plurality of the noun and pronoun in the foreigner question doesn't match. Argh!)
      - The cards are supposed to be used at the table, and ours are. Unfortunately, kids, spaghetti, and white-edged cards do not really mix. After 2 months, our cards look pretty grubby. You could either look at the visible grunge as a design flaw (darker colored cards wouldn't show as much dirt), or you could view it as a testament to how much and often we really do use the cards. :-)
      - The price was pretty steep (especially considering all the ink they must be saving by skipping the punctuation!) I don't regret the purchase, but if these had been $12 instead of $25, I would really love them!

All in all, I like these cards, but I have to remove stars for the atrocious grammar and punctuation.

This has been awesome for our family. We sit down to eat dinner at the table and our kiddos get excited to have conversations about all kinds of things from these cards. They get bored of the everyday "how was school, how was recess" talk and these convo starters are great at getting them talking. We'll start with a card and before you know it we're halfway through dinner and they're letting their imaginations run

My 6 year old loves answering these questions at dinner. Since we took away her ipad we bought these to keep her occupied so she will eat all her dinner and it works!! Some questions we skip if they don't pertain to her but most do and we all have fun listening to each answer. Will be planning to purchase other editions, we love these!

I have a 16 yr old boy 14 year old girl and 9 year old boy. They all love participating in these questions. I just leave the box on our dining room table and read one card a day at supper. It’s so fun! Just for a reference my boys are athletes and my daughter is in theater so all different personality types and they all equally love this! Highly recommend.
