These are listed as Super Bright LEDs, this is definitely a correct description, especially the green and white colors. All other colors are quite bright as well. These are listed as working at 20mA, but I've found they are almost as bright at 10mA and acceptable for most uses at 5mA. The green and white ones are actually usable at 1mA if just needed as indicators for something indoors.

It's been quite a while since I restocked my LEDs, I was surprised how much the brightness has improved over the last decade. Not sure on the longevity, but planning to use these at half of their rating (10mA instead of 20mA) or maybe even 5mA, so expect they should be good for a long time.

First, I’ll admit to being an electronics component kit junky. Having the parts on hand for any project you want to is an awesome thing. I already have multiple LEDs in a drawer but I thought it would be good to have an organized collection with all the basic colors I’d want to use and this seem to fit the Bill.

I bought both the 3mm and 5mm kits, and tested at least one of every color. Each was bright with a very nice color hue. Plastic cases are fine and keep the colors separated while being slim in design. This is a really handy assortment of quality LEDs to have ready for any project.

No complaints with these LEDs but they are very, very bright. Make sure to pick an appropriate resistor. At 5V I felt even a 2.2K ohm resistor left the LED still a bit too bright for normal use.

They do not run hot or anything and seem to hold up well in various projects I've done, so it was a good deal. So far no duds in the box either.

I would say these are somewhere between clear and diffused and don't fit in either category. The color quality is consistent across parts.
