Comfortable, adjustable, packable
First impressions, this is going to be a fantastic travel hat. It may well be the most comfortable hat I've had on; time will tell if that initial impression holds up when worn for several hours on a hot day. Appreciate how adjustable the sizing becomes with the handy velcroed band inside. Lift the tab and snug it up until your sizing is just right, then tack the velcro back down on the inside of the band. I prefer this system over some I've had in the past that required the use of a knot or clasp of sorts, both of which could then create a pressure point when the hat was worn. I did follow the instructions provided with the hat and can confirm that it can be folded and rolled, which is going to be handy when I have to shove it in a pack while in the water. (I've included a picture here, as some people mention not receiving the instructions.) I cannot speak to how much shaping it might require afterward. Videos I watched online suggested holding similar hats over a steaming kettle and then placing on a flat surface to help reshape the brim. So, that's always an option. I should note that the first hat I received was actually sewn and shaped improperly. There will always be a slight variation at the edge of the brim where the bands of straw or ribbon are reaching their end and being worked in to the piece. Normally, this is position at the back of the hat, as it's not really obvious unless you're staring right at it. Unfortunately, the first hat I received was backwards, with the inner hat band and shaping of the crown positioned such that this finishing edge of the brim material (with its odd blip) right front and center. There was no way to look past it--would have had you staring at it, thinking there was something slightly odd about it, though you might not immediately figure out exactly what the problem was. Thankfully, they sent out a new one next day, and it was sewn and shaped perfectly, with the finishing edge of the brim right where it should be, at the back. Great hat. Excited to see how it holds up!

Originally got this hat in black to protect my face from sun at an outdoor music festival. It was so hot at that festival and not only did this protect my face, it kept my face so cool and prevented my face from sweating. It is light weight enough that my head/ hair wasn’t too sweaty. Can easily fold for travel and comes with folding instructions.

I got this in tan too recently for my trip to FL and absolutely love this hat. Wore it almost every day. The adjustable strap on the inside and on the chin were perfect, for keeping this on my head during boat rides. Brim was sturdy enough, it didn’t blow up with all the wind on the boat.
Super cute and effective! I’d buy it in every color if I could!

This hat has literally made it around the world with me! I always get compliments on it when I wear it out. The chin strap also helped me from losing the hat at the pyramids. The brim length is perfect for sun protection. I ordered the M/L originally even though I have a big head. I didn't think there was an issue with it being snug until it got hot and my head got bigger and I couldn't adjust it. I was looking for a 2nd hat for different options to wear, and none matched the quality. SO I decided to just order a 2nd one in the size larger, and it is great since I can adjust that one more snug. The only reason I didn't have this at 5 stars is the chin strap drives me crazy when I'm not using it, which is 90% of the time. I wish there was an easy way to tuck it away when not in use besides in the band around the inside of the brim. Not a deal breaker for me overall, I do really love this product!!

This is a gorgeous hat!! And so high end! Been looking for the perfect hat for YEARS! I try them on in person everywhere I go!! I was nervous to buy online due to fears about it being too big or wobbly or arriving mis-shaped from shipping. But this hat and company is amazing!! No need to hesitate if that’s your fear. They packaged it amazing well! Protecting every side and brim and curve of the hat. Appears to be a super high quality company. Instructions, packing and materials are top notch! They claim you can fold and pack and reshape and give good instructions for those steps as well as cleaning and general care. I personally haven’t tried that yet. I wear mine around town and out on the boat. I love the UPF 80 for protection against the sun! It seems thicker than most hats and not see through at all, so that claim seems believable. It has a chin strap to use if needed for wind or boats. I just tuck it up in the hat for everyday use and it’s no bother. I almost returned it just due to the size, until I found the adjustable strap. The M/L wobbled quite a bit on me. My crown measures 22”. I needed a Small but it wasn’t offered in the tan/black combo I wanted at the time. I was skeptical of the adjustable Velcro strap, but honestly the teeniest of adjustment made all the difference in the world!! Now it fits snug and custom with no gapping or wobble! I highly recommend!!!! I would definitely consider it medium brim size. Not large and floppy but not a small hat either. Perfectly in the middle!
