Great color, fits true to size, metallic peels off
EDIT: just wore this coat for a 5 day trip and while it kept me warm, on day 2 the metallic fabric started peeling off on both sleeves around the wrist. I was hoping it would last at least one winter but no such luck. Exactly the color I was looking for, not too bright good not too dull. So far it has kept me warm in the cold fall we've had. It's a bit on the bulky side, especially the hood which doesn't stay flat down. The zipper goes bottom up too so makes it easy to sit down while wearing this coat. My reason to take one star off is the pockets, they have a check button that is impossible to open / close while wearing the coat as you need both hands. This is a flaw and I wish it had zippered pockets.

    This coat is at the center of a Venn diagram of warmth, comfort and price. I initially bought a XL and XXL, but ended up keeping the XXL as it gave me more room to wear a variety of layers underneath and room to sit or squat down without feeling restrained. I wore it to Montreal recently, where the average temperatures were 13F/-10C during the day and -1F/-18C at night, and I was so grateful for it blocking the wind, for the length of the coat, and for the ease of zipping and un-zipping it as I went in and out of places. Two other things I like about this coat: it’s surprisingly lightweight, which I appreciated because I had to haul it around two airports, and the color is exactly as advertised (I purchased tan, although I see it more as ochre or a dark-ish mustard).

    For reference I’m 5’11” (1.8 m) and 230 lbs (104 kg) with 48in (121cm) hips - the coat is 40.5in (102cm) long (from where the neck meets the shoulder to the hem - it falls to about 2in above my knees) and is 26in (66cm) wide from armpit to armpit and fans out to 29in (73cm) at the bottom hem.

    Despite the inside cinch cord, the coat design is a bit boxy. Although I shouldn’t be surprised as it is shown this way in the photos. I ordered this coat in a medium, the same size as my other winter jackets. It is a bit roomier than expected, but if wearing thick layers underneath, it’s a perfect fit.

    Perfect weight - I got it one size bigger than usual so I could wear a bulky sweater underneath, but it will be fine with just one layer, too. It has features that similar coats do not have: knit cuffs, pull ties for the hood, snaps on the sides to make walking easier, unzips/zips in both directions. I wish it also had snaps over the zipper, in case I don't want to bother zipping it closed, but that's not that necessary.
    I like the color- although I would call it a dull rust, not tan. I've bought and (sorry!) returned several coats from Amazon, as well as ' _ Repu-', '_Nav-', but none fit as well or had the features. And then there's the price- a bargain!
    Note: As a petite, I would have loved getting this with shorter sleeves, but the cuff helps. Goes past my knees, but with the zipper and side snap features, it is easy to walk and covers more in the cold.

    Easily, the most comfortable jacket I've bought and I have bought and used many.
    Amazon essentials claims that this is a heavyweight jacket. Not even close. I was very cold in this in what should have been an easy temperature to deal with. I haven't sent it back yet. I am going to try one more time when the temp goes down again. We'll see.
    Other than that, it is sturdy, comfy, and everything you would want in a jacket except for the most important thing extreme warmth. Sorry folks.

    I got this coat in the orange color and I LOVE it! It is more of a burnt orange than a bright orange. I chose the color because it was the cheapest one during a sale, but it turns out I really love it. This coat is a lot thicker than it appears in the pictures. I received it just before we got some really cold weather in my city, and it’s been perfect for keeping me warm. The pockets are roomy. I like the option to have a hood. I love that I can pull the zipper up and unsnap the sides for a little more room. There is a drawstring at the waist though it doesn’t do too much to cinch the waist. This coat fits me well and doesn’t look too bulky. It’s better than the worn out Patagonia I’ve been wearing for 10+ years. I hope this coat lasts me many more winters!
