If you have a lot of hair, or even thicker hair… don’t get it
They snapped in half (you can see in photo) as I tried to stick it into my hair… on my second attempt for each. I’ve found ways to use it without breaking it, using two of the other ones. But I have to make it very loose, which defeats the purpose of it being a hair pin to pull hair up. Would not recommend unless you have very fine hair with basically amount of a toddlers hair… it works for my 4 year old’s hair. Off to get some metal ones I go! UPDATE: the company contacted me and offered me a refund, even without me requesting for it. I tried two sets of these pins and they still break and ultimately aren’t made for thick, long Asian hair I have. (If I just want to do a half up-do, then it works fine.) It is nice to know they actually keep in touch and stay up to date on reviews, etc. changed the star rating from 1 to 3. It didn’t work for me but it may work for others.

    I really wanted these to work really great. I love the idea of it. However, they are really challenging to get to hold your hair up tightly. I have tried watching tutorials and practicing and maybe it's just me, But I really had a hard time getting them to stay. I'm hoping with continued practice I can get them to stay better in my hair and use them more often because I'd really like these over hair ties. I like the colors and how they feel and that they're not metal also.

    These hair pins are pretty nice. They are smooth and nice to handle, They hold my hair back very easily and very comfortably. The only down side would be that the pointed ends are not super pointy. This is a problem when trying to get them into your hair. They don't "puncture" through the hair easily , you kind of have to fight it a bit to get it through your hair.
