    This is a fun set for kids. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel like it's not consistently realistic or not realistic. The steak and French bread looks the most realistic while mostly everything else is more fake looking. That sounds kind of silly to say for pretend food, but the style just doesn't seem super consistent. My 3 year old daughter doesn't care, so that's really all that matters lol. You can actually squeeze the tongs and pick up food with it. I'm not sure why the ravioli was made the way it was. You have to fold them and pinch them together. It's not a big deal. Just kind of interesting. Note, the set comes with more, I just didn't include everything in my photos.

      This food set gives you a lot of pieces for the price, which I guess is nice (more on that in a minute). The quality feels like it's on the cheap end of the spectrum. So I'd say the value is average, since you get a lot for the price, but it's not amazing quality.
      The main reason why I'd consider buying this set instead of others, is because of the ravioli. I think it's a fun concept and could be very engaging for kids, but be aware that the filling is fairly small and could be a choking hazard for babies, toddlers, or kids with sensory issues who put things in their mouths. Because the filling is small and slippery, I think it'd be easy to choke on. If your kid is a little older, this probably isn't an issue, but it's worth noting. Also good to know is that the ravioli halves can be a little finicky to put together. Young children might struggle to do it independently. A kid that's a little older (maybe 6-8) would probably be alright, depending on their dexterity.
      Now talking about the set as a whole...
      The plastic doesn't feel as thick or durable as name brands I've used before. I doubt most kids would notice or care, and the quality is probably good enough for one kid who'll then outgrow it, or for grandkids who visit periodically, but I don't think it's the best option if you need a toy that'll have frequent, heavy use, such as a home with a few kids, or a daycare. That said, I do like how this set has things other affordable food sets don't have, such as the ravioli. I didn't feel like the felt salad pieces really added a lot to the set.
      Me personally, I'd rather have a set with fewer pieces but higher quality (plus then there's less to clean up). But not everyone feels the same. If you want something that gives you a lot for your money, then I think this is a decent option. Whether or not I'd recommend it depends on what you value.

      Great value for the price, great quality. I like the different varieties of food that comes with the set. Good for the little one's imagination. Age five and up, because the raviolis do have cheese or meat that can be removed. The salad for the avocalobo look realistic. I like a little bread basket as well. Highly recommend age 5+.

      All I can say is I’m surprised. I have six kids and have been dealing with their toys for two decades, so I’ve “seen it all” in terms of quality. I am shockingly impressed with this set of toy food! Not every item is epic, but the overall quality is much, much higher than I expected. I especially love the griddle and steak, and the raviolis! Truly, in 20+ years of toy-food-engagement, I have never seen plastic ravioli with removable fillings.

      Things I love…
      — the sheer number of quality items is fantastic. Yes, there are a few “throw away” items like the little cardboard box that will be demolished in days. But most of the set is heavy plastic with a realism you’d expect to pay a lot more for.
      — the variety of items is also incredible. You have cardboard packages, true, and salt and pepper shakers that shake, but you also have a heavy plastic griddle and steak and asparagus, and raviolis and bread and so much more. But wait, there’s more! There are also a bunch of felt, sewn pieces of vegetables and salad! I kept pulling bags out of the box going, “oooh, really? That too?!” It was so much fun!
      — dishes, too! Yes, there are really nice plates and plastic cutlery!
      — the storage bag probably won’t get a lot of use since we have a kitchen, but I could see it being essential for school or day care settings. I love that there’s a place to pack away all the food.

      I sort of wish…
      — I’d found this set years ago so my older kids could have played with it! 😆
      — the scale of all the pieces were consistent. The pepper shaker is larger than the steak, for example. But honestly, for the price and given the huge variety, I can’t complain.

      I’m delighted with this set and want to play kitchen myself! I can’t wait to see my kids’ reactions. They’ll love it!
