Mold incubator
I really loved this... for more than a year. It's cute, holds temperature well, food safe. Really, it was 5 stars. The reason why I tossed it this morning is that I happened to wake up early with ear irritation and swelling. My daughter also worked up with itchy years. Granted, this is a problem we had since Feb 2023. Unable to be diagnosed by a pediatrician and just considered to be "ear eczema." I tell you, I am a very meticulous cleaner. I wash all my drink bottles and not only that, I store them in the fridge. I have a special straw brush I use for the small areas and a large one for the bottle. Pictured is the mold that does NOT wash off with brushing, soap and water. The rubbery components are too porus and allow for mild to deeply embed into them. This is a health hazard. And I highly suspect this is the reason for my 2 ruptured ear drums last year. I suspected it was mold but didn't think of this bottle because I clean it SO well. Sadly, I have been poisoning us for more than a year. My daughter had went to bed with itchy ears sometim3s every night of the week for WEEKS. I have never written such a strong review before but I hope you find it helpful and go with a bottle with a simple unscrew lid which all the components can be cleaned out well and practically.
