    I purchased this for my back as well as my legs as I bike to commute to work every day 2 1/2 miles one way. The heating pad heats up quickly. It shuts off without any issues and the ability to roll up and put away makes it very desirable. It is so desirable in fact that if I leave it sitting when I get up to go to the restroom or get a drink, I find my cat sitting on it and then we begin the battle of the heating pad highly recommend and if you can purchase one for your cat, she or he will love you forever.

    This product covers most of my injuries, is big enough to wrap around a body part, and it delivers heat to spasmodic muscles well. Issue: the timer maxes out at 2 hours and is very, very bright. This means I have to operate it with eyes closed to restart it after the early auto-shutoff, counting clicks to turn it on, but nothing helps when I turn it off when ready to sleep because the timer lights brighten to "blind this bitch now!" before they go away. Instead of floating off to sleep, I am now wide awake, I can see the blood veins in my eyelids and the pain is back with a vengance. I can only use this product without eye pain if I collapse during daylight, which I work hard not to do, so it is "emergency use only." People with photosensitivity due to traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries should avoid this otherwise excellent product because there is no way to adjust the light level, and the light level is painful! For the rest of you: highly recommend!

    Ordered this for some back pain and while the heating pad itself is very soft , it just never seemed to get that hot. At setting 6 it is suppose to be ~140 degrees, but my infrared thermometer showed barely over 105 after letting it sit for over 5 minutes. In the end, returned it as it wouldn't be useful as a heating pad due to the low heat. Not sure if it was a dysfunctional product based on the other positive reviews, but wanted to point this out.

    When I seen this heating pad on sale I was so excited because I needed one. I have arthritis, fibromyalgia, and some other issues with my back. I had a really nice one for quite a few years that was larger but it broke last year. Since then I’ve been wanting to get one and knew that when I picked this one, it was going to be smaller. Unfortunately it also doesn’t seem to be quite as hot. This will work for smaller areas and it does get hot but definitely on the lower end. I think this would work well for stomach cramps during that time of the month but if you’re looking for a bigger surface and things like back pain, I would suggest getting some thing a little bit larger and some thing that has moist heat.
