There are a lot of different heated vests and they all basically look the same but their quality and features vary dramatically depending on the source. This vest by Trefoil has a switch button indicator that illuminates and lets you control heating zones and intensity for all or particular zones. You can also turn off the illumination with another button. The battery functions as a backup power device when you're not using it for the vest which is great if you are traveling and away from home all day, and you need a power extender for your phone. The vest itself is quite cozy with heat zones around the collar, the chest, and the back all of which give satisfying warmth and heat, like a hot/warm hug. I like the vest on the middle "blue" level. The large size kind of wears like an XL.

    Nice toasty vest, however the battery will not shut off when you push the button to turn it off.. I have to unplug the battery when done to preserve what ever charge is left. I would have returned the vest but I need it for hockey season.
