I was impressed when I saw all that was included in the My Novel Things shower cap and Hair Towel set. This set has everything: shower cap, hair towel, headband and two wrist bands, and the asking price is less what I’ve paid for just a hair towel in the past. I placed an order as soon as I read the description.

Now yes, I did get all of the items that I listed, and yes, they are good quality, BUT the order page describes these items as “purple”. The photos looked a bit like an orchid purple on my tablet screen. Trust me, this is NOT purple, it’s “Dreamhouse Barbie” pink. The cap is a bold, bright pink, while the other items are a light pink. I wouldn’t have made a choice of pink, but I can handle it. However, if you strongly dislike pink then I’d definitely avoid this set.

The individual items are very nice. The headband and wrist bands are baby soft. They feel great against the skin. The hairband works very well keeping hair off your face while applying skincare or makeup items, and the wrist bands prevent liquids from running down your arms. I will say that I believe the headband is a little small. While it didn’t feel tight, it fit snuggly and kept inching its way off the back of my head. I don’t have a large head, it’s fairly average. The shower cap forms a nice tight seal around the head. It’s a plastic inside, so you do get that crackly sound on your head, but it’s fabric on the outside. That dampens the sound somewhat. It does an excellent job of keeping hair dry. The hair towel is described as microfiber. It’s not the same fabric as the hairband and wristbands. While soft, it’s not super soft like the other items. I found this towel to be more absorbent than many others I’ve owned. It’s a good size and fastens on the hair securely.

This is a very nice set for an excellent price. It performs well. Everything is really good quality. As long as you don’t have an issue with Barbie pink, then this set is a great choice.

This is currently about $7 after coupon, and for that price I don’t think you could find a better deal. The hair towel is thin and not very soft, but it dries really quickly and it’s a good size. The wristbands and headband are really soft though, and do a good job keeping water under control when washing face. The shower cap is nice and waterproof. It’s good for keeping your hair dry or also for using deep conditioners.

My 7 year old daughter has long hair and it's always a struggle to keep it dry if she is taking a bath and not washing it or to dry it out after washing it so that she doesn't go to bed with a wet head. This set is perfect for both. The shower cap and the hair towel are so handy and they fit her head perfectly but also fit my wife's head, so they are really good for all ages. The hair towel is absorbent and fixing the towel over the head and securing the end to the button in front is easy. The button is sewn on securely. This towel is worth the price of the set alone. The shower cap is high quality and the elastic keeps it on securely in the shower. We haven't had use for the wrist bands and headband but both are a nice plush terrycloth that would feel great. Fantastic set and would be a great gift for the women or girls in your life.

This set would make a cute spa gift. The purple is more pink though.

For me, the most useful item is the shower cap. It’s big and wraps nicely around my head. No discomfort at all. No plasticky smells. Nice quality.

The headband and wrist bands are soft, plush, and elastic. They’re pretty thick. Personally, I don’t need to use but the wrist bands would be useful to avoid the water dripping down to my elbows.

It also comes with a towel hair wrap to dry your hair.

I am now washing my face nightly with product after brushing my teeth (was just washing my face in the shower each night) and was getting frustrated with water going everywhere. I got this set for the headband and wristbands. My first thought when I put them on was "Playboy Bunny" from the 70s or possibly the 80s. The bow is large, but it doesn't get in the way. Once I got past picturing the Playboy Bunny uniform, I started washing my face. These work great! I initially thought maybe I wasn't splashing a lot of water, but the wristbands were wet when I removed them. They didn't feel wet while I was wearing them. The headband is thick and secure so my hair stayed away from my face. The material is soft/comfortable, and dries quickly. I am not clear if I can throw these in the washing machine occasionally as I don't recall seeing this mentioned anywhere.

The shower cap and towel wrap seem good, but I haven't had a need for them yet. For the price (~$9.99), this set is a great deal. I am very happy with how well the headband and wristbands have worked so far!
